Product Description

The XL5 is the newest and most advanced member of the Niton family of portable X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analyzers. It is purpose-built to verify metal alloys for manufacturing quality assurance and control; achieve positive material identification in seconds; and perform accurate elemental analysis for scrap metal recycling operations.

  • Advanced analytical performance – lower LODs and faster measurement times
  • Light weight - only  2.8 lbs. (1.3 kg.) reduces operator fatigue and increases productivity
  • Expanded field use – compact geometry reaches corner welds and tight test spots
  • Large alloy library - increases coverage;  an internal calibration standard ensures accuracy.
  • A micro and macro camera - allows more precise positioning of the analyzer on the sample while capturing an entire sample image for better record keeping.
  • Custom profiles - for specific analysis requirements for alloy ID only, or manager/operator profiles.
